Vol. 419 No. 9

Written Answers. - Local Authority Funding.

Liam Kavanagh

Question:

133 Mr. Kavanagh asked the Minister for the Environment if he will give details for each year between 1989 and 1992 of the amount of funding, either through grants or loans, made available to Wicklow County Council and other local authorities in the country for (a) county libraries, (b) branch libraries, (c) library transport and (d) books.

It would not be practicable, having regard to the time available and the commitment of staff time that would be involved, to compile information in the format requested. However, overall figures for Wicklow County Council and all other library authorities are set out in the following table.
