Vol. 419 No. 9

Written Answers. - County Cork Sewerage Scheme.

Paul Bradford

Question:

134 Mr. Bradford asked the Minister for the Environment if he has studied a report (details supplied) submitted to him by the Whitegate Development Association, County Cork, concerning the necessity to provide an adequate sewerage scheme at Whitegate; and if, in view of the urgent necessity of the scheme, he will provide funding to ensure commencement of the scheme in 1992.

A report has been received on the matter and is being examined in my Department. However, having regard to existing commitments under the Water and Sanitary Services Programme, I am not in a position to indicate when there may be a decision on the Whitegate scheme.
