42 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Education if he will provide the necessary finance to implement the programme on child abuse prevention now successfully implemented in the Eastern Health Board region, on a nationwide basis.

The question of extending the Child Abuse Prevention Programme on a nationwide basis and the provision of the necessary finance is currently under consideration within both my own Department and the Department of Health.
