Vol. 420 No. 6

Written Answers. - Caretaking and Clerical Services.

Bernard Allen

Question:

103 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Education if he will list the schools in Cork city and county which will qualify for a secretary and/or a caretaker under the Programme for Economic and Social Progress.

Under the Programme for Economic and Social Progress, it is proposed to introduce a phased programme, commencing this year to expand the provision of caretaking and clerical services to national schools with 100 pupils upwards and to post primary schools with 200 pupils upwards.

As the details of the new scheme are still under consideration within my Department I am not in a position to say at this point what schools in Cork city or county will benefit under this programme.
