102 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for Finance if he will give details of all the persons appointed to (1) sub-region special advisory working groups and (2) sub-region review committees for the Dublin area established in connection with EC structural funds; the number of meetings that have taken place; whether these groups sought submissions; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Details of the membership of the Dublin Sub-Regional Advisory Group and the Dublin Sub-Regional Working Group established by the Government to assist in the preparation of the National Development Plan, 1989-1993 are set out in the attached Appendices (1) and (2). The Advisory and Working Groups met on several occasions over the period October 1988 to March 1989. The groups received numerous submissions in the context of preparing a sub-regional input to the National Development Plan 1989-1993.

Details of the current membership of the Dublin Sub-Regional Review Committee, which was established in 1990 under the terms of the Community Support Framework (CSF), are set in Appendix (3) attached. The Dublin Sub-Regional Review Committee has met on 14 occasions since its establishment in July 1990 — details are set out in Appendix (4) attached.

The role of the Sub-Regional Review Committee, as set out in the CSF, is to monitor the implementation of the Structural Fund assisted measures in the Dublin area. Recently, I have asked the Review Committee to prepare a submission in the context of preparation of a National Plan for the post 1993 Structural Funds.
