Written Answers. - Alleged Security Leaks Investigation.

48 Proinsias De Rossa asked the Minister for Defence whether the investigations initiated by the Chief of Staff into all aspects of the recent case of alleged security leaks, as a result of which a soldier was discharged on 21 September 1991, has yet been completed; if he will outline the outcome of the investigation and the changes, if any, which have been made to security procedures to prevent a recurrence; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The investigation set up by the Chief of Staff into the circumstances of this case has been completed. In the interests of security it would not be appropriate to give any details of the investigation.
