Vol. 424 No. 10

Ceisteanna — Questions. Written Answers. - County Kerry Drainage Scheme.

Jimmy Deenihan

Question:

36 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Finance if he will make the necessary funds available to carry out vital maintenance work on the Cashen river, County Kerry.

The funding of maintenance works on the Feale Catchment Drainage Scheme in County Kerry, of which the Cashen River forms part, is met from the allocation for Arterial Drainage Maintenance in the Vote for the Office of Public Works. Critical sections are given priority within the limited resources available. Steps will be taken shortly to repair damage caused by recent storms to the embankment at Derryco.
