Vol. 426 No. 6

Written Answers. - Citizenship Application.

Paul Bradford

Question:

85 Mr. Bradford asked the Minister for Justice the reason a query (details supplied) relating to a possible citizenship application, lodged in her Department in March, 1992 has not yet been responded to; and if she will ensure that the matter is attended to.

There is no record in my Department of any query about citizenship or any other matter from the persons mentioned in the question. However, the details supplied with the question revealed an inquiry to the Department of Foreign Affairs at the time in question about residency conditions.

According to that Department's records the query was referred to my Department at the end of March. As I have stated, however, there is no record of its being received. As this is a matter for my Department, it has now replied to the inquiry.
