58 Mr. Barry asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs the number of derogations from implementing EC laws Ireland has sought and received during each of the last five years; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Ireland has not sought any derogations from EC law, in respect of the areas of responsibility of my Department, in any of the last five yeas.
