Eamon Gilmore

Question:

248 Mr. Gilmore asked the Minister for Education the number of substitute days worked by untrained persons in national schools in the months of November and December 1992, in each of the counties, Dublin, Westmeath and Mayo; and if she will give this as a proportion, in each case, of the total number of days worked by substitute teachers in those counties for the period.

The information requested by the Deputy is not available for individual counties.

The total number of days worked by untrained persons in national schools for November and December 1992 respectively were 3,295 and 3,574. The total number of substitute days worked by trained and untrained persons in that period was 32,074.
