Question:232 Mrs. Owen asked the Minister for Enterprise and Employment the provision, if any, which has been made in the Multi-Fibre Agreement for imports of textiles from third countries into the EC.
Written Answers. - Textile Imports.
In accordance with the decision by the Council of Ministers on 6 October 1992 the negotiations on the extension of all 26 Bilateral Agreements between the EC and third countries under the Multi-Fibre Arrangement were completed before 31 December 1992.
The details relating to the levels of textile imports from each third country into the Community under these Bilateral Agreements are set out in the Official Journal of the European Communities No. L410, Volume 35, dated 31 December 1992. Copies of the Journal are available in the Oireachtas Library.
