Vol. 428 No. 1

Written Answers. - Lough Carra (County Mayo) Facilities.

Enda Kenny

Question:

253 Mr. E. Kenny asked the Minister for the Environment if he received plans from Mayo County Council in November 1990, for the provision of new public toilets at Lough Carra, Ballyglass, Clare-morris, County Mayo; if he has received a request for approval and funding for these toilets; if his attention has been drawn to the number of locals and tourists who enjoy the facilities of Lough Carra on a yearly basis; if, in view of the necessity to have these facilities provided, he will make a special grant available so that work might commence in 1993; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

A proposal to provide public conveniences at Moore-hall, near Lough Carra, Co. Mayo at a cost of £60,000 is being considered and a decision will be conveyed to the local authority as soon as possible.
