Question:282 Mr. J. Higgins asked the Minister for the Marine the amount of funding made available in each of the years from 1991 to 1993 to County Mayo to deal with coastal erosion.

No money was made available from the Marine Vote for coast protection works in County Mayo in either of years 1991 or 1992. The Department has been allocated £200,000 for coast protection in 1993 and this has been earmarked for ongoing projects.
