79 Mr. N. Ahern asked the Minister for Transport, Energy and Communications if he has had talks with, or received an indication from, Telecom Éireann in relation to a proposal to reduce the duration of a local call from a private domestic subscriber, either during the day or at off peak time.
As I indicated in my reply to a similar question on 24 February 1993 my Department is currently considering a tariff rebalancing package proposed by Telecom Éireann and it would not be appropriate for me to comment on any individual aspect of this package in isolation until a decision has been taken and the full details of any tariff restructuring that may be agreed have been announced.
