Question:

241 Mr. E. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Education the total number of primary teachers who attended summer courses, which entitled them to three days extra vacation in each of the years from 1988 to 1992; and the number of these teachers in each year who availed of the one day extra vacation, two days extra vacation and three days extra vacation.

Courses are generally of one week's duration and full attendance entitled teachers to three days extra personal vacation (EPV). The numbers of participants at courses in the years in question are shown below.
