308 Mr. McGrath asked the Minister for Health the income limits presently pertaining to eligibility for a medical card; and if these income limits are based on take home pay.

The following are the current income guidelines which are applied in the assessment of applications for medical cards. In assessing whether an application is within these guidelines, PRSI payments are deducted from gross income.
