Austin Deasy

Question:

92 Mr. Deasy asked the Minister for Health the reason a child (details supplied) in County Waterford who has very poor eyesight will have to wait a year for glasses; and if he will investigate the matter.

As the provision of optical treatment and appliances in County Waterford is the responsibility of the South-Eastern Health Board in the first instance I have referred this matter to the Chief Executive Officer of the South-Eastern Health Board for his immediate attention and direct reply to you.
