Question:58 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for the Environment if his Department coordinates the National Emergency Plan; the command structure in the event of a major accident or disaster; whether such facilities or procedures are adequate to deal with any such situations; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
I refer to the replies to Questions Nos. 127 of 23 February 1993 and 163 of 11 March 1993. The framework for coordinated response to major emergencies, referred to in the former reply, recommended arrangements for command at major emergencies.
