Question:90 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for Education if she has satisfied herself with the processing time for results of certificate examination papers; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
Written Answers - Processing of Examination Results.
Given that the Examiners appointed to correct the candidates' scripts must be given a reasonable length of time to complete their work, there is little scope for issuing the Leaving Certificate results any earlier than is the current practice. In this regard it is expected that the results of this year's Leaving Certificate Examination will issue in week commencing the 16th of August. The Junior Certificate results will be issued to schools subsequently at the earliest possible date bearing in mind that priority must be given to the Leaving Certificate.
