Written Answers - County Dublin Remedial Teacher Appointment.

Question:

102 Mr. Gilmore asked the Minister for Education if she has received a request from Archbishop McQuaid Senior School, Loughlinstown, County Dublin, for the appointment of a remedial teacher; and if she intends to honour the commitment which she gave to the parents' committee of the school that such an appointment would be made.

I am pleased to inform the Deputy that the school in question has been selected for receipt of a remedial service with effect from September, 1993. The post is being allocated to the school on shared basis with Kilmacanogue National School, Co. Wicklow.

My Department will be in touch with the schools shortly to make the necessary arrangements.
