Question:170 Mr. Yates asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry if a person (details supplied) in County Wexford has been approved for a beef cow quota; and if her entitlement to this quota has been reinvestigated.

This case has been reinvestigated. The person named was paid 1992 EC suckler cow premium scheme grants on four cows and her suckler cow quota will be based on that number. She has been requested to submit documentary evidence of the lands farmed by her and when she does so her eligibility for grants under the 1992 beef cow and equines headage scheme will be considered further.
