88 Mr. McGrath asked the Minister for the Environment the reason his Department is delaying enacting regulations to allow taxi-ranks to be established in Mullingar and Athlone in County Westmeath; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
I am finalising consideration of the issues raised in a comprehensive review of the law applying to the operation of small public service vehicles generally with a view to taking early decisions in relation to a range of issues, including the introduction of taxi services to new areas such as Mullingar and Athlone.
