Vol. 432 No. 2

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Breeda Moynihan-Cronin

Question:

95 Mrs. Moynihan-Cronin asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when a headage payment will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Kerry.

The herd-number and the name of the herdowner appear to be incorrect in this case. My Department will investigate the matter further if the correct particulars are quoted.

Question:

96 Mr. Byrne asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when a special beef premium for ten months will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Wexford.

The application of the person named for grants under the June 1992 special beef premium scheme was rejected when subjected to a computer validation check. That problem has now been resolved and if found in order following a further validation check payment will issue as soon as possible.

Jim Higgins

Question:

97 Mr. J. Higgins asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the reason for the delay in payment of a headage grant to a person (details supplied) in County Mayo.

Grants are outstanding for a number of years in this case. Delay in payment has arisen because the applicant was not a registered herdowner. He has since died and his personal representative is the person named. She has submitted documents to prove her entitlement to grants and she will be paid shortly.
