Question:123 Mr. Broughan asked the Minister for the Environment when he will call the first meeting of the Dublin Regional Council; and if he will include any further reserved powers in that council's sphere of operation.

The powers, functions and other operational details of regional authorities will be provided for in an order to be made by me under the Local Government Act, 1991. I intend that the various preparatory arrangements will be completed in time to allow the new authorities to be established, and to meet, later this year.
