Question:

81 Ms F. Fitzgerald asked the Minister for Health if he will give a list of the number of children placed under section 5 of the Child Care Act, 1991, in the period January to June 1993, in the Eastern Health Board area in bed/breakfast accommodation, in hospital beds, and in overnight accommodation in Garda Stations; and if he will give the age and gender of the children concerned and the length of stay in each case.

The detailed information requested by the Deputy is not readily available to my Department. I have asked the Eastern Health Board to collate the information in question. I shall forward this to the Deputy as soon as possible.
