Question:

146 Miss Harney asked the Minister for Health if, in view of the circumstances of a person (details supplied) who is a medical card holder, has no financial means and is in need of permanent care, he will grant appropriate subvention to enable that person to remain in the nursing home which has become her home.

I have asked the Eastern Health Board to investigate the circumstances of this case. On receipt of their report, I will communicate directly with the Deputy.
