272 Mr. McGinley asked the Minister for Education if she will give details of the recent grant allocated to Gartan Outdoor Pursuit Centre, County Donegal; the work to be carried out when this project commences; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
A grant of £150,000 has been allocated to County Donegal Vocational Education Committee under my Department's Sport Capital Programme towards the cost of the extension and refurbishment of Gartan Lough Outdoor Education Centre. The project comprises the provision of lecture accommodation, changing and toilet facilities, storage rooms and the extension and refurbishment of the kitchen and boiler house.
Work commenced on this project, which is estimated to cost £600,000, in May 1993 and is due for completion in early 1994.
