Vol. 435 No. 10

Written Answers. - Education Grants.

Bernard Allen

Question:

44 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Education if she will extend the third level grant scheme to students who are attending the College of Commerce in Cork as many of those students who are third level students are not receiving third level grants.

Higher education grants, European social fund grants and vocational scholarships are available to students who have made application for and have been accepted on approved courses in third level institutions. Students pursuing courses other than at an approved third level institution are not eligible for the award of a third level grant. The college of commerce in Cork is not a recognised third level college.
