Vol. 436 No. 5

Written Answers. - Task Force on Small Businesses.

Phil Hogan

Question:

50 Mr. Hogan asked the Minister for Enterprise and Employment his views on whether a new category of small limited liability company should be established specifically for the use of the start-up smaller businesses in their initial years which would be exempt from any of the requirements currently on companies; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The task force on small businesses is considering the whole question of what needs to be done to assist small business, including start-up smaller businesses. I will give urgent consideration to any recommendations on this issue by the task force whose report I expect early in the New Year.
