Vol. 436 No. 8

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Michael Creed

Question:

76 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when a grant under the suckler cow scheme will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Cork.

The person named has now been paid his grant under the 1992 suckler cow premium scheme.

Phil Hogan

Question:

77 Mr. Hogan asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when a suckler cow premium and a 22 month beef premium will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny.

The person named was not paid an advance under the 1993 suckler cow premium scheme because he has no quota. He has, however, submitted an application for a quota from the special reserve which has been established for allocation to certain categories of producers. His application is being processed at present and if he is allocated a quota, his application for payment of premium will then be processed.

His applications for grants under the January-February 1993 and June 1993 special beef premium schemes are being processed at present and if found in order 60 per cent advances will be paid shortly.

Phil Hogan

Question:

78 Mr. Hogan asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when a suckler cow grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny.

The file in this case is with the field staff of my Department and as soon as it comes to hand I will ascertain the position and contact the Deputy.

Gerard C. Connolly

Question:

79 Mr. Connolly asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when a ewe premium for 40 sheep will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Offaly.

The person named applied under the 1993 ewe premium scheme for payment on 40 sheep. As he has a quota of only 30 and as he did not apply for any additional quota from the national reserve the maximum number of sheep he can be paid on under the 1993 scheme is 30. Payment of the first two advances was made to him on that basis on 25 July 1993. His grant under the 1993 sheep headage scheme will be paid shortly.

Jimmy Deenihan

Question:

80 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when a sheep headage payment will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Kerry.

The person named will be paid his grant under the 1993 sheep headage scheme shortly.

The person named was not paid his advances of the 1993 ewe premium as he has no quota. He has however applied for a quota from the national reserve. The processing of these applications is almost completed and if the person named is successful in obtaining a quota from the reserve he will be notified accordingly within the next three weeks following which his application for payment of 1993 ewe premium will then be processed.

Ned O'Keeffe

Question:

81 Mr. E. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when installation aid will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Cork.

This application cannot be further processed by Teagasc until the applicant's solicitor submits the deed of transfer duly stamped by the Revenue Commissioners.
