Question:

152 Mr. Byrne asked the Minister for Education the present situation and schedule for future progress in relation to the carrying out of works at Raheen national school, County Wexford.

Preparation of tender documents is being put in hands for the major building project approved at this school, which has been included in my Department's national school capital programme for 1994.

It is not possible at this stage to say when work on the project will commence, as this depends on a number of factors outside the Department's control, including receipt of a fire certificate, suitability of tenders received, and the contractor's own arrangements-schedule when appointed.
