Jim Higgins

Question:

166 Mr. J. Higgins asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the reason beef premium has not been paid to a person (details supplied) in County Mayo in respect of two bullocks.

The person named has been requested to submit a cattle identity card of an animal applied for under the January/February 1993 special beef premium scheme and when he does so his eligibility for grants under that scheme will be considered further.

Queries relating to an invalid tag number and the age of an animal listed on his application under the 10 month June 1993 special beef premium scheme have issued to the person named and when a reply has been received to these queries his eligibility for grants under this scheme will also be considered further.

He did not apply for grants under the 22 month June 1993 or the 10 and 22 month November 1993 special beef premium schemes.
