Question:171 Mr. Nealon asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when beef premium payments will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Sligo.

The applicant's payment under the January/February 1993 special beef premium scheme will issue shortly.
His application in respect of the June 1993 special beef premium scheme is being processed at present and any advance payment due will be made shortly.

Question:172 Mr. Sheehan asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when a person (details supplied) in County Cork will receive payment of his 1993 suckler cow grant for small milk producers.
The person in question was not an applicant in 1992 under the suckler cow premium scheme so he does not have automatic right to quota. My Department has no record of an application from him for rights from the special reserve.
Even if the applicant had a quota, the position is that the two animals on which he applied for grant under the 1993 suckler cow scheme for small-scale milk producers are not of a beef-type breed and are in any event ineligible for grants.
Ned O'Keeffe
Question:173 Mr. E. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the up-to-date position regarding an application for sheep quota in respect of a person (details supplied) in County Waterford; when his application was received; and the number that will be allocated to him under the quota.
The person named has been allocated a ewe premium quota of 17 ewe premium rights from the national reserve. His application was received prior to 17 September 1993 which was the closing date for applications.

Question:174 Mrs. Moynihan-Cronin asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when cattle headage will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Kerry.
The person named was paid an advance of her 1993 cattle headage grant on 29 November 1993. Her application is being processed further at present and any balance due will be paid in the near future.
