Vol. 439 No. 7

Written Answers. - Hermitage Building, Lixnaw, County Kerry.

Jimmy Deenihan

Question:

47 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Finance the present status of the hermitage building, Lixnaw, County Kerry; and the protection it is afforded under the National Monuments Act.

Protection was afforded to this monument by having it entered in the Register of Historic Monuments on 28 April, 1993. This requires the owner to give two months notice to the Commissioners of Public Works of any intentions to carry out work in the area of the monument.
