Vol. 439 No. 7

Written Answers. - School Transport.

Paul Bradford

Question:

98 Mr. Bradford asked the Minister for Education when she will respond to correspondence from a person (details supplied) in County Cork concerning school transport.

The case presented relates to the question of a central set-down point. A central set-down point is a feature of the post-primary school transport scheme and is in operation in towns where there is more than one post-primary school.

I have had the case to which the Deputy refers examined by my Department and am satisfied that the pupils in question have a reasonable and adequate level of service in the context of the general operation of the school transport scheme.
