Vol. 445 No. 8

Written Answers. - Proposed Rooskey (Roscommon) School.

John Connor

Question:

24 Mr. Connor asked the Minister for Education the present position in relation to the new school promised for Rooskey, County Roscommon; and if work will proceed in 1995. [453/94]

The site for the new school was surveyed by one of my Department's senior architects. Survey drawings are currently being prepared. Work will begin on the architectural drawings, which will accompany the planning permission application, within the next few days.

I hope that construction work can begin on this project in 1995 but I cannot give a definite undertaking to this effect, because of the various factors involved in the planning process, many of which are outside the control of my Department.
