Vol. 447 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Written Answers. - Restoration of Railway.

Jim Higgins

Question:

111 Mr. J. Higgins asked the Minister for Transport, Energy and Communications the proposals, if any, he has to make finance available for the restoration of the railway from Collooney to Claremorris, County Mayo; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [105/94]

Restoration of the Collooney to Claremorris rail line is a matter of detail relating to the day-to-day administration of Iarnród Éireann. Accordingly, I have no function in the matter. There are no plans to provide funds for the restoration of services on the line.
