Vol. 448 No. 2

Written Answers. - Gas Prices.

Seamus Brennan

Question:

125 Mr. S. Brennan asked the Minister for Transport, Energy and Communications if he will furnish details of gas prices to householders and to small business compared with prices charged in Northern Ireland, United Kingdom and the EU average. [1770/95]

The information sought by the Deputy is set out in the following statement.

The information is based on the results of a study undertaken by Eurogas of natural gas prices as at 1 July 1994, in 13 European countries, including Ireland and Britain. There is no piped natural gas distribution network in Northern Ireland to give comparative prices.

Results of Eurogas Study of 1st July, 1994.
