Vol. 449 No. 3

Written Answers. - Road Reclassification.

M. J. Nolan

Question:

68 Mr. Nolan asked the Minister for the Environment if he will reclassify the Leighlinbridge/New Ross road from county road to national secondary road status. [3555/95]

The Leighlinbridge-New Ross road was formally declared to be a regional road by the Roads Act, 1993 (Declaration of Regional Roads) Order, 1994 which was made on 2 December 1994. Prior to the making of the order it had been classified on an informal basis as a regional road. There are no plans to alter the classification of the road.
