Vol. 450 No. 2

Written Answers. - Public Geriatric Beds.

Tony Killeen

Question:

68 Mr. Killeen asked the Minister for Health if his attention has been drawn to the crisis in relation to public geriatric beds in County Clare; and the action, if any, he proposes to take to alleviate the problem. [4906/95]

Limerick East): Responsibility for the provision of long stay accommodation for the elderly in County Clare is a matter for the Mid-Western Health Board in the first instance. The board informs me that there is no crisis in relation to public long stay beds for the elderly in County Clare at this time.
