145 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Social Welfare arising from his reply to Parliamentary Question No. 13 on 14 February 1995, if he will have arrangements made to make a copy of the charter operated by his Department available to Deputy Mr. Gregory and to the INOU. [5183/95]
The charter I referred to in my reply to the Deputy on 14 February last was in effect the Department's mission statement and values which were articulated in the context of the Civil Service wide strategic management initiative begun by the previous Government. Arrangements are being made to send a copy of those documents to the Deputy. The process arising from the initiative is an ongoing one however and the statements are being reviewed in the light of the programme, A Government of Renewal. When the present review has been completed. I hope to be in a position to publish a strategy document for the Department which has yet to be developed from the basic work already undertaken.
