Vol. 451 No. 2

Written Answers. - Removal of Trailer.

Tony Gregory

Question:

104 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Justice if the Garda will assist a person (details supplied) in Dublin 1 regarding a large trailer which was left by persons unknown outside her home, the registration number having been removed, as this has occurred at the same location on a regular basis. [6420/95]

I am informed by the Garda authorities that, having spoken with the person in question, and the owners of the trailer, the owners have undertaken to instruct their drivers not to park their trailers on the street.

Furthermore, I understand from the Garda authorities that the parking of trailers at this location is an occasional rather than a regular occurence and that the removal of the registration plate from parked trailers for reattachment to the rear of the tractor units is the normal practice.
