100 Mr. D. Ahern asked the Minister for the Environment the financial allocation made to the National Road Authority for national primary roads on a year-to-year basis since its inception; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [9545/95]

The following grants have been allocated from my Department's Vote to the National Roads Authority since its establishment on a statutory basis:

Maintenance	21.200	23.000

The distribution of grants between national primary and national secondary roads is a matter for the Authority having regard to the strategy and financial plan set out in the Operational Programme for Transport 1994-99.
