Vol. 453 No. 4

Written Answers. - Carlingford (Louth) Sewerage Scheme.

Dermot Ahern

Question:

101 Mr. D. Ahern asked the Minister for the Environment the expected duration of the contract regarding the proposed Carlingford sewerage scheme; when it is expected to commence and be fully operational; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [9546/95]

The preliminary report for Carlingford sewerage scheme is currently being considered by my Department. Pending the preparation of contract documents and the examination of tender proposals for the scheme, it would not be possible to estimate the duration of the contract or the construction period. The scheme will be a priority one for the purposes of the water services sub-programme of INTERREG 2.
