Question:

219 Mr. Mulvihill asked the Minister for Transport, Energy and Communications the projects and the amounts of money which have already received approval for lottery funding for which the funding has not yet been paid. [10916/95]

As I indicated in my reply to Questions Nos. 120 and 121 on 18 May 1995, my Department does not operate a national lottery funding scheme for the allocation of national lottery funds, and there has been only one instance in which my Department has disbursed funds from the national lottery. The amount involved was £3.122 million approved by Government in respect of restoration work on the GPO in Dublin. The money was disbursed over the years 1990-93 and the breakdown is as follows:

£

1990

500,000

1991

999,391

1992

893,000

1993

729,609

Total

3,122,000

This Department is not involved otherwise in applications for funding from the national lottery.
