Vol. 454 No. 4

Written Answers. - Passport Application.

Ned O'Keeffe

Question:

89 Mr. E. O'Keeffe asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs the present position regarding an application for a passport by a person (details supplied) in County Cork. [10928/95]

The person concerned has now received her passport.

The individual submitted her application on 16 May through her local post office, using the new passport express service. The passport was issued on 25 May. However, the applicant subsequently reported that the passport had not been received. The indications are that the passport may have been stolen from her mailbox and the matter has been reported to the Garda.

As the applicant was scheduled to travel on 15 June a replacement passport was sent directly to her local post office where arrangements were made to have it collected.
