Vol. 458 No. 5

Written Answers. - Former CIE Chairman's Travel Costs.

Robert Molloy

Question:

204 Mr. Molloy asked the Minister for Transport, Energy and Communications whether the board of CIE have sought recovery of any overseas travel costs incurred by the former Chairman. [17451/95]

All the overseas travel by the former CIE chairman was authorised by either the then acting chief executive of CIE or by the former chairman himself through his secretary. It is the responsibility of the board to decide whether, and to what extent, it would be appropriate to seek the recovery of any costs incurred by the former chairman on overseas travel.
