126 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for Education the progress, if any, that has been made on the appeal (details supplied) lodged to her Department by County Kilkenny vocational education committee in respect of a proposal to terminate the first year hairdressing course at Ballyhale vcational school and its effects on the students and staff concerned; and if she will make a statement on the matter. The question of increasing the approved teacher allocation to County Kilkenny Vocational Education Committee to cater for the course in question is the subject of ongoing discussions with the vocational education committee.

It is hoped to have this matter finalised very shortly.
