347 Éamon Ó Cuív asked the Minister for Education if she has received an application from the Education Resource Centre, Clifden, County Galway, for recognition by her Department as a teacher resource centre for Connemara; if so, when a decision will be made on this application; and if she will make a statement on the matter. An application from the Education Resource Centre, Clifden, County Galway for recognition as an education centre has been received in my Department. The matter of the development of the network of education centres is currently under consideration and no decisions have yet been made. Officials from my Department will be meeting representatives of the resource centre in the near future. The Deputy will be interested to know that my Department has approved funding for a number of courses organised by the Education Resource Centre during 1995.
