92 Mrs. T. Ahearn asked the Minister for Arts, Culture and the Gaeltacht the number of summer tourist guides who will be employed at national monuments in South Tipperary; the number of applications received; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [3359/96]

It is proposed to employ twenty three seasonal guides at national monuments in South Tipperary in 1996. One hundred and one applications have been received and the selection process is in progress at present for these positions.
